Default Browning Maxus Dura-Touch. Durable?

I'm looking into adding another semi auto to the gun safe. Very interested in the Browning Maxus based on what friends, 'smiths, and the overall positive reviews I've found online. However, online I've read quite a few nightmarish instances where the Dura-Touch turns yellow and peels off the gun. the pH on one's skin or the kind of gun oil used is usually to blame. Anyone here have personal (hopefully positive) experience with the Maxus?
