Browning A5 pre WWII
I have found a pre WWII A5 according to the serial#. I want to make sure that first is is operational and safe to fire. What is going price of something like this? There is no adjustable choke for it. I think it is beautiful and am ready to buy if I can get the right price. Is there anything to look for to flag it as a bad buy or damaging.
Serial # is 202xxx |

I dont have pictures of it, I haven't purchased it yet. It seems to be in good condition, the bluing is almost completely worn off of the receiver and is engraved with nice scroll work. There is no visible rust or pitting in the chamber. I don't see any cracks in the wood but the buttstock has been sized and the butt plate is not original. Just looking for a ball park price assuming it is operational and functional.

It seems it's not his... yet. Looking for info before buying, like a smart feller...

But yes that is apparent. And yes it is good to look for info before buying. But I would suggest taking some pics next time so you can git a more accurate answer. |
