Can a "light 12" barrel be used on a standard A5 receiver--both are chambered for 2-3/4" shells?

Yes sir. The only difference in the 2 is the light 12 barrel will have holes drilled in the barrel ring. My Father-in-law's Standard 12 is wearing one right now.
