my friend recently bought a newer one. i think savage made it. synthetic stock 3 or 4 round mag. pretty accurate held a group of 2 to 3 in at 100 yards. he sold it though. not really sure why. it worked great.
I have been a silent witness
to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hour comes
when I am torn into strips and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I fly at half-mast to honor my soldiers,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms
of a grieving mother
at the graveside of her fallen son.

My 1st shotgun was a savage 410 bolt, the very one that was my grandfather's first gun. I still have it. Inherited it 13 months ago.

Bolt action shotguns are real popular in lower Michigan because u can't deer hunt with a rifle down here so we get these bolt action rifled barrels to shot out to 150 yards with nice groups

I happen to like the old bolt shottys. Back in the late 50s, the first shotgun I ever shot was a .410 bolt action, still have it. The old Mossberg 12ga bolt action goose gun would make a good turkey gun. I know a few guys that use 12ga bolt actions to this day for turkey hunting. My .410 bolt makes a great rabbit getter.
