Best shotgun of these three?

which one would be the best shot gun out of these 3 for target and clay shooting?
Mossberg 500, Remington 870, Benelli Nova

Good 3 choices but why don't you tell us a little about yourself in the intro thread first and we'll go from there. Thanks

sorry this is my first post ever on this sight. im relitivly new to shooting ive been shooting for about 6 months. Ive been shooting a Colt Python .357 mag, Ruger mark III, and Ruger 10/22. im 16 and weigh about 140. me and my dad are looking for a good beginner shot gun for shooting targets and maybe clay. this will be my first shotgun and im looking at those 3 shotguns because i can find them for $400 or lower, but they are still a good quality

Get the Remington 870 (good starter gun)it has a longer forcing cone in the barrel & you won't feel as much kick as you would with the Mossberg 500. But the Mossberg 500 does throw a better pattern as far as ducks or clays are concerned.
I have shot the Benelli Nova they were asking too much for it as far as how it shot.

Ruger, the 870 and the 500 both have a whole plethora of aftermarket addon pieces that allow you to customize the gun to your personal shooting. You can reduce recoil, lengthen or shorten the stock, change the feel of the stock or forearm, add optics, or any number of hundreds of things. The Benelli is a great, high-quality gun, but I do not believe it has as many addon improvements available for it and therefore I would suggest you stick to one of the other two.

I'm more partial to Remington so I suggest the Remington 870 Express Magnum, but Mossberg and Benelli are both great too.

I have a Mossberg 500 and a Remington 870 but I think I would opt for the Benelli. They are a solid shotgun. Just my choice today, I may change my mind tomorrow.

Anytime a Benelli is within your budget, buy it.

For your stated uses, I would think a good name brand gas operated semi auto would be better. A used Beretta or Remington would be far better in my opinion.
