Tell me how you aim that shotgun.

that's what is nice about a shotgun for sd/hd type weapon, you don't have to really aim, point in the general direction, and pull the trigger! OO buckshot at close range is brutal!

For close quarters, I do just fine. I shot it with the pistol grip for the first time 2 weeks ago. I shot some clay pigeons. Recoil was stout, but managable. I shoot better with a stock, but I managed to hit a good portion of them. I like the compact size for home defense.

I thought everybody on the internet benchpressed at least 350 lbs.

Shotguns need to be aimed, you can miss a target by just point at it.

I know, i was just trying to be funny! and you're right, shotguns need to be aimed, but don't require as critical aiming as a pistol does. this is why i advocate practice and more practice with your firearms. maybe more for the ones we decide to carry or depend upon for hd/sd in case trouble comes a knocking.

No thanks, not for me.
I most certainly concur with Chris on this one.
I, for one, do not like the weight and balance
of the shotgun when holding it. Imagaine if I
had to shoot it and the recoil had to be absorbed
by my forearm and hand alone. I rather go with a stock.

i am no fan of pistol gripped shotguns either but some LE like them for the same reason people want them for hd. short and easy to manuever. some of the gun makers build them like that, straight from the factory with a pistol grip. so there must be a market for them. plus a lot of aftermarket parts for a lot of shotguns to do this.
