Default Best round of competitive trap Sunday

I have shot a little trap in the family farm fields and decided the only way to get better is to join a small family owned gun club and shoot in a men's league. Well I had my best round of the year. I think this is the 4 or 5th week of shooting. I had a 20/25 and a 24/25. I've been averaging 17/25 and couldn't believe it. And to top it off my 17 year old grandson shot with us to fill in for a guy that couldn't make it Sunday and he had a 17/25 and a 20/25. Of course his score won't count but this was his first time shooting trap. Sure makes for a proud grandpa to see him shoot so well. I think we will have a new team member for next year. I realize these scores are not great but for first time shooters I think we did pretty good.

Having fun and enjoying time with family and friends is what counts most.

It sure was fun. My son and I are going to try to to get together and shoot with his 13 year old son ( my middle grandson) and my 17 year old grandson each week. I need to get my youngest grandson a shotgun and start working with him and get him out with us too. He is 10 and has a 22 but has never shot a shotgun. I'll try a 20 gauge auto and see how he does.
And thanks Deer. Hopefully we can continue getting better.
I picked up a 12 gauge reloader and need to get a 20 gauge reloader so I don't go broke buying so much ammo. My brother in law is a competitive trap shooter and is showing me how to reload. This sure helps with the learning curve when you have someone with so much experience.

My brother in law has a big stash he bought years ago and sold me some at a good price. When I run out of it I have a gun shop so I can get a little better price than retail.
