Izenrok, you really should take a good look at the 12 gauge Beretta White Onyx Sporter. One of my best friend's shoots one, it's a real dream gun and is right in your budget. Not a better dedicated competition gun for the money, none...

I have owned brownings and berettas, and I like the Beretta the best. It's my opinion that they just fit me better. I sold my Browning 425 because I just shoot the Beretta 686 better. Now I have a 20 ga. lightning, and love it. The chokes are easier to change, and the barrels are chrome lined. If youcan, try one and you'll see what I mean. Thanks DW

My brother has an original European Browning 325, I used to own a Browning Ultra Sport, Currently own a 425 and 525...and just remodeled my room with a Browning theme...the man was a genius and you'd be surprised to know how many guns he invented (Colt 1911, Pretty much every winchester lever and pump action, THE .50 cal machine gun etc etc)

GET A BROWNING AND BECOME A FAN FOR LIFE!!!

and slugo....VERY sexy guns. My dad just handed down to me my great grandfathers original 1932 Browning Superposed Midas grade. 2nd year of 9 they were made

I have 2 Beretta's a silver pigeon 12ga and a white onyx 12ga they are on the more expensive side of shotguns but they are great. When I shoot clays with these guns I get 58/60 and I absolutely love them.

Yeah, the 686's with an upgraded rear stock I'd say. But can u use them for self defense and Zombies?

I probably wouldn't for zombies or self defense I'd get a Mossberg 500 Persuader.

A friend has a 28 ga citori have shot with a few times. It handles nicely and is easy to swing. I am not in very good health and had no problem making it through a 100 shot course with the aid of a golf cart. It took maybe 10 shots and the Browning handled like I was born with it in my hands. I am not a double barrel fan. Yet I was impressed with the citori. You might buy a more expensive gun but you won't buy a better gun.
