Default Best case price?

I picked up a case of Federal 20 gauge #8 tonight for $56.99. I know this was a better price than buying one box at a time but is that a good case price? I haven't bought a case of shotgun shells since 1993 and I remember them being under $40 retail and even less with my employee discount at the time.

I finally ran out and my 12 year old needs shells for busting clays at he trap range.

When you say case you do mean 250 rounds?
