I would recommend the Winchester 15 round value pack. You can get them just about anywhere. They are the basic Foster slugs but they are more advanced now. When they first came out you were lucky to hit the target at 50 yards. Now since they are improved over the old ones, you can put a full box within a 4 inch circle at no more than 75 yards with the 2 3/4 shells, 100 yards with the 3's but you have to be able to place it. The Max yardage also depends on barrel length. With a 26" you should be fine with the 2 3/4 shells. If you have a 28" I would recommend the 3's. The value pack slugs are between $11 and $15 for a 15 round box depending on where you get them. Hope this helps!

PS. What gun did you get?

I don't agree with the 2 3/4" and 3"thing.....from my experience the 2 3/4" slugs are more accurate and I have killed deer at 100+ yards with them...I don't see the need in a 3"slug unless you are shooting out to 200 yards with a sabot slug

Is your Stevens the one with the pistol grip and the bead or the one with the sights and the receiver that looks like one off an ithica or bps?

It's the 320 and I have looked at that gun before at Walmart. If you want a good HD load get the Winchester pdx1. It's 3 00 buckshot pellets and a 1 ounce slug in the same shell. If a guy breaks in to your house, that load will mess him up.

I use the Remington sluggers 2 3/4". I see no advantage to using the 3". I've killed 2 does so far with sluggers and they can do some damage. They only work good in a smooth barrel and pattern pretty good for just using a bead sight.
