Well, that's how I do it sometimes.
Most of the time, though, I leave out the bolo, pepper, and skewer rounds. Do it like a real man.
But that's just me.

Ok, load your tube or mag in this order: a bolo round (or macho gaucho, depending on which site you buy exotic ammo from), a shell loaded with a sharp knife blade, a pepper round, a dragons breath round, and a shell loaded with a saboted bamboo skewer.
First, you fire the bolo to lop the squirrels head off, then you shoot the knife blade to skin and gut the squirrel, next the pepper round is used to season it, then you fire the dragons breath to get it nice and roasted, and finally, fire the skewer for tree rat on a stick!
They always said guns are tools, but they never said they were like leathermans!
best. shotgun mag. ever.

definitely want to try a bolo round. Hell I may get in to loading 12 ga just to see what crazy sht I can pack in there.

if I loaded an egg round, a flour round and then a dragons breath, how much of a cake do you think I could manage? Enough for a dessert after the squirrel dinner?

Sounds about right!
You might like taofledermaus on YouTube, and demolition ranch. They both make weird shotgun loads (dimes, tics tacs, AA batteries, nails, etc.), and slow mo shooting vids. Pretty awesome stuff

segmented slugs they pretty much shatter on impact so over penetration is very unlikely but you will have quite a mess to clean up. I would go with the 3 1/2 in because the extra power will make for more reliable fragmentation.

Less than lethal rounds are ONLY used when you have lethal backup present. If you are justified in using lethal force use it, if you are not justified don't shoot!!!

I prefer Centurian "buck and ball". IIRC, it's a .50 caliber ball followed by six 00 buck shot. It has a clear shell case, so you can see the load, pretty cool looking. I have eight in the tube, one in the snout, and four high velocity slugs in the Speed Feed stock on my 590A1. Hope this helps.

That's a classic. Standard load for us once although it was a much bigger ball and a few usually .31/.32 caliber buckshot.

Army GENERAL ORDERS, Head Quarters, Perkiomy, October 6, 1777; “buckshot are to be put into all cartridges which shall be hereafter made."

Despite alot of people's concerns on over-penetration, I only feel truly comfortable with 2.75" 00 or 000

It's not just overpenetration.

You are not doing as much damage with fewer big pellets than more slightly smaller ones. And you're more likely to hit your target with multiple hits in the first place with more.

Let's face it, there is the occasional dullard here who wants to follow real men that remind them of daddy who slept with mommy and take a swing at them, there aren't alot of critical thinkers here, and this may not be intuitive.

Nevertheless, at usual shotgun ranges on medium game, like home invaders, 16 .30 pellets are more effective than nine .33 caliber ones.

you can hide behind your smart alec remarks in regards to me all you want. saying i'm not a real man, that's truly lame sir. and if you think your little insults hurt my feelings, you would sadly be mistaken, as you you usually are.

i am sure many of us would love to hear about your helping look for the bombing suspect with your own gun and flashlight. i am really on pins and needles waiting for the next installment of that story. did you carry a shotgun or a rifle?

i am sure it would have made Shoobee very proud. how is Shoobee these days?
