mmm. Well I modded my saiga specifically for rabid squirrel but I suppose we can give it a go. Lets hook it up and go hunting.

Thats what Im sayin.

Speaking of, on a completely unrelated note, has anyone ever had experience with flechette rounds? I see them all the time at shows but ive never seen them fly. I know they're nasty but whats the effective range on a 12ga flechette load anyway?

Squirrel hunting?

I have a solution for that, too!
Ok, load your tube or mag in this order: a bolo round (or macho gaucho, depending on which site you buy exotic ammo from), a shell loaded with a sharp knife blade, a pepper round, a dragons breath round, and a shell loaded with a saboted bamboo skewer.
First, you fire the bolo to lop the squirrels head off, then you shoot the knife blade to skin and gut the squirrel, next the pepper round is used to season it, then you fire the dragons breath to get it nice and roasted, and finally, fire the skewer for tree rat on a stick!
They always said guns are tools, but they never said they were like leathermans!

from what i have read over the years, they lose energy very quickly over a short distance and really aren't very practical. pretty much why i haven't ever tried them. might be a fun testing session though.
