I'll play, but start a new topic. Use facts not personal preference in the OP.

YOU'RE NOT FOLLOWING ME!!

If you want to discuss your opinion about Remington copying Benelli (which they're not) PLEASE start a new topic (let this one die once & for all) and I will discuss why Remington is not copying Benelli. In your new topic please use facts not personal preference. Again, I can't make myself any more clearer.

Two guns near and dear to my heart! I shot my 870 18 years before retiring it. Yes its still in great shape internally but decided to let the old boy rest. Bought a new Remington 1187 auto in camo a couple years ago. Dont like it and am 70% hit ratio on it because its front heavy. Bought a Nova last season at the recommendation of a buddy....I have to say that this has 100% replaced my 870 now. An amazing gun for the price. When I bought my 870 I paid $198 for it....now its $289. still very cheap for the best shotgun of all time...I got my camo Nova for $399 at Bimart....just depends what you like. Although the 870 is flawless and Nova feels better to me all the way around..

Default870 vs. Nova

Own both and like both. Also have a BPS worse pos I have. Kicks like a mule and Browning won't even look at it to find out what the problem is they just say I'm recoil sensitive. I've had 28 different people shoot this gun and my son is the only person other than me to shoot 2 shots in a row. Every one else fired ONE shot and handed it back.

As far as the Nova/870 dust up goes, there is more acrimony than there is common sense in the discussion. As previously suggested try them both and make up your own mind. I like my 870 best, but only cause I'm a southpaw and the Nova is a right hand of course the LH 870 was only available in the
wingmaster for extra $.

The 887 is an attempt to update the 870 with modern materials and manufacturing techniques. NOT an attempt to copy the Nova. I'm not sure but IIRC 60% of the parts in the 887 are the same as the 870, ergo it's not a copy of the Nova.

I honestly have never heard of a BPS kicking like that-hell I owned 2 of the 10 ga models and could shoot them with 1 hand.

Theyear after my wife gave me this gun a guy in the hunt club I used to belong to got one and it shot normally. The only difference was mine had a
30" bbl and his had a 28" he went to Afganistan shortly after that and I never
got a chance to trade bbls with him. which I would really like to do cause I think the bbl isn't bored correctly. I'm not too sensitive to recoil, I've shot a
Barrett 98 .50 BMG and up to .460 W'by in sporting rifles so I don't think I'm that big of a sissy like the Browning rep implied. Even if I was he should have
made some sort of offer to have the gun looked at as I requested. NEVER
AGAIN will I buy a Browning! Good guns POOR to no customer support.

Strange that some will accuse others of the very same thing they do.

Bear,
Right-On!!
I've shot several loads through many different BPS with no problems.

I'm not having any trouble understanding you, I'm having trouble understanding why you're badmouthing all Browning BPS based on your opinion of just 1-and your lack of credibility on this forum. I still doubt Browning made such an unsafe (in your words) shotgun that's junk and you still have it. If it's so bad why would you hang onto it?
