Default Benelli Supernova

My father in law bought a Benelli Supernova the other day and we went out to shoot it yesterday. Holy crap that thing is Amazing. Very little recoil and fast shooting. We shot some Remington Nitro turkey #5 shot, some of the Winchester PDX home defense rounds and some 00 and 000 buckshot and it shot them all like a charm without really beating up our shoulders any more than my .270. Never was a fan of pumps before, I always preferred semiauto's' but damn might have to get myself one of the nova or supernova tacticals now.

Did you run any 3.5 inch buckshot or turkey loads through it?

It was all 3.5 inch shells which is what had me so impressed.

Like all guns in our house it was meant as a family gun so we all handled it at the GS and at first I was not so sure about it cuz to me it felt clunky but once we went to the range and shot it that completely changed. Its my second favorite of all the shotguns I have shot next to the Benelli M4 I use to have unfortunately I had to sell that to pay off credit card debt that my ex-wife racked up while I was in the Army.

I love my supernova. I wish I could have afforded the super black eagle but for a pump its pretty sweet. It definitely gets the job done. I put it to the test this past November on a nuisance duck hunt in the Mississippi delta. It was a blast but after a case of 3"#2 steel it will put a hurtin on ya

Those are some nice birds. Shooting heavy loads like that out of any shotgun will hurt after a case. This one will probably be used for turkey hunting and I will probably be buying one of the nova or supernova tacticals for HD since it is cheaper than just buying a shorter barrel. If I could get another M4 I probably would but I could never justify that kind of money on a single purpose gun that would probably just sit next to the bedroom door most of the time.
