Default Benelli Nova.

Has anybody bought or shot one of these? I am seriously thinking of picking one up this week, or soon. I am wanting to use it to go turkey hunting and it shoots 2 3/4, 3 in. and 3 1/2 shells. Im sure it could be used for waterfowl and dove hunting as well. My only issue is, I've never owned or shot a shot gun before so I don't know what else I am going to need as far as shooting goes?

Default First Timer......

I own one. The only thing I can tell you is that shooting 3.5 Magnum will kick like a mule on steroids. Invest in a good recoil pad. This is a good shot gun and will be good for what ever you hunt. Put out some large targets and shoot different loads, check to make sure you don't have any holes in the pattern. Should be hellish on turkey......

Im not sure what you mean by holes in the pattern...

Also for hunting I'm sure color of the gun doesn't matter because I am only able to afford the black synthetic and not the APG, but I am just making sure if there wasn't any thing special the APG has over the Synthetic?!?!

Also I went into Sports Authority and got to hold the gun which was great feeling in my hands, but (and I have never in my life heard or seen this) I cocked the gun and when I gave it back to the guy it started pouring out a clear liquid, and I am talking about pouring out like a spout.

Default Pattern.......

Sometimes this happens, it's a void or hole if you wish where there is an absence of lead shot in the target area. It will also show you what choke you will need to shoot for certain game. Have fun and be safe.........
