Benelli M2 Light Mount -Inertia System?
I've been searching the forums and am confused with trying to find a mount and light for my new M2. My gun store sold me a LaserLyte magazine tube mount to mount a Streamlite TRL1S but this round mount is too small and would not go on the magazine tube. Searching around the internet seems like everything is for the M4.

I read on another forum that due to the inertia system the M2 uses that I shouldn't mount a light to the M2 or even think about adding a magazine extension.

1st post here...this Benelli M2 is my 1st shotgun so I am very new at this. Thanks in advance for any help.

A quick search turned up this - Is this what you are looking for?

Lol. When I was looking for American made parts for my M4, all I could find was parts for the M2!

I saw that but it's been discontinued from Insight for some reason.

I found a mount from a company called Nordic that clamps onto the mag tube and barrel. Only thing is you have to have your allen wrench to take it off to field strip the gun. Not sure I'd like that...thoughts...opinions?

I have a Stoeger M2000 that uses the Benelli inertia action. I have a mag extension and a light on it. My shotgun must not have read the post about that not working, because it gets along just fine.

Found out Surefire make a light built into the forearm like the Insight posted above...a little pricey but I'll pay if this really is the best solution. I also wanted to ad a mag extension too.

Benelli forums says the light and mag tube extension will weight more than the bolt and will cause reliability problems. I'm beginning to think I bought the wrong gun and this gun is not as good as people say and too finicky to ad a couple of simple accessories. SUCKS!

Met a guy at a local gun shop and he showed me his M2 with the Nordic light rail, +3 extension tube. Zero issues with these accessories on the M2. PERFECT!

The M-2 has been as close to a perfect police/HD shotgun as anything I've ever seen.

And in my 15 years as a police firearms instructor, I think I've seen them all.
