Bay State 16 gauge

I recently purchased a single shot 16 gauge shotgun that is in really bad condition that I want to restore - at least try. The receiver is stamped with "Bay State Worcester Mass"

Does anyone know where I can find a new stock and forend?

Afraid you won't. If the stray brain cells I have left are working, that was made by Harrington and Richardson, and shares parts with the 1900 model. I checked over at the Numrich site, and while they have a few parts for your 100 yr old shotgun (plus or minus a few years) they are sold out of stocks and forearms. Sorry, bro. Short of finding an organ donor gun sitting in the pile in the corner of an old time smith......

Bay State 16 gauge

I have an old Bay State .410 that belonged to my grandpa. It has a crack in the stock and is in rough shape.

I never planned on shooting it, just a family heirloom and wall hanger. I haven't seen many other Bay States still around. Good luck

It's a long shot but you can try gun garage.

better judged by twelve than carried by six.

The H & R "Bay State" guns were Model 1908 (three piece takedown with non-removable hinge pin) and made between 1916 and 1942.

www.boydsgunstocks.com has replacement stocks fo the Model 1908 and most H & R single shot models including the Model 1900.
