Defaultar-shotgun

What do you guys think about the american tactical imports t-14? it's a ar-style shotgun that shoots .410 bore rounds! looks kinda cool to me.

It might look cool but why all the bother for a .410? I'm just not much on .410s.

Seems pointless to me. It's not like it's just a different upper you can use with your AR (which might be cool and would be useful)...it's a completely different gun. So...why go with .410? Why not get a good 12ga for a helluva lot less?

i must agree. they should have made the gun in a 12 or 20 gauge platform, but i still like the idea. they had to start out somewhere!

I thought the selling point of the Saiga 12 guages (et al) was that they were built on the AK platform with its reputation of reliability even through extreme nastiness (looser fit & such). I thought the AR platform needed a bit more neatness/cleaning & would be less suitable for nasty ole shotgun rounds. ???

I've been thinking of getting my 70 year old mother a .410 double barrel for HD. I don't think she could handle 20 guage well & her arthritis makes the old .38 snubby unlikely to see much use.

If they sold a .410 upper that could be used with a conventional AR-15 or AR-10 lower then that might be something to consider. Versatility is a good thing. But spending around $900 (if memory serves) on a whole new gun seems a little odd. To each their own, I guess.

If I were going to go for a tactical shotgun beyond my 870, it'd be a 12ga Saiga.
