If you live alone in the middle of nowhere, as I do, it don't matter if you use the 'heavy' loads!!!

My remington 870 with some magpul furniture and brown box 00 buck shot are what I trust my life with every day... I love that gun. I have no experience with a mossy 500 (the rival of the 870) but I like the full steel recivier that comes with the 870. Really it doesn't matter... Both guns are awesome, both will get the job done. They are proven tools...

The whole buckshot VS. Birdshot thing, don't get too caught up into that. Aim smart and only fire when you need to. Trust buckshot with your life.

It does so matter! If your side saddle shell holder is magnetically retained or if you like to take your favorite refrigerator magnet shooting with you.
