20ga for duck and turkey

I'm in the market for a duck/turkey auto and I'm a really big fan of the 20ga. I have always used 12ga, but I am meticulous about patterning and I am very skilled with guns so I thought I would try something new. Previously my choice for this was my Browning Gold Hunter in 12ga with a 24" barrel. does anyone out there use a 20ga for these things and if so please tell me your experiences and what gun you are using.

What I'm really looking for is actual experience based answers. I have no doubt the 20ga is capable, but what I'm looking for is feedback from people that use them for these applications.

Thanks

I don't do turkey.
Used the 20 for ducks when lead in the 12 was first banned. As long as I didn't try to stretch things too much past 45 yards, shooting 1-1/4 ounces of nickel plated #4s that patterened quite well, the gun did the job far better than I had anticipated. It was way better than the 12 with the steel shells of those times. As soon as lead was banned in the 20, I went to a 10.
With the newer materials like tungsten matrix and other as-heavy or heavier than lead alternatives, I would think the 20 would be okay again, but I have stuck with the 12. I have a friend who likes to shoot the 20 at ducks, and last Fall even he admitted that his kill ratio dropped noticably with the 20, even limiting the range he tried things and over decoys. He does shoot steel in the 20 and the 12, and I don't. He is thinking of trying tungsten in the 20.

Thanks, I don't do much duck hunting so it won't be the main purpose for this gun. I have always had a collection of 20ga and several 28ga and 410ga as well. I love to bird hunt and small game hunt with them. I used to live in an area that was buckshot only for deer and that lead me to get the Browning Gold I have. I'm considering another auto for hunting and I thought if I can do it all with a 20ga....I will.

I use a 12ga. for turkey hunting. I setup my 12ga. with a Turkey Choke before I head out. In my neck of the woods 20ga. is used for dove, quail, duck, etc, but for turkey we use 12ga.
