I like Benelli as well, but they are high dollar! I'm personally a Remington fan. The 870 is a fantastic shotgun. Besides being the best selling shotgun in history, I recall reading it is also the top choice of Law Enforcement and Tactical team users.

if its whiz bang...buy the cheapest thing you can get.
odds are itll be used maybe twice a year and put up. right?

btw...all the names suggested are going to kick the daylights out of you.
the cheaper the gun, the more it kicks.

if less kick is needed, get the heaviest gun out there and use low recoil loads(if you can find them in todays world) or go with a 20ga.

You can get a nova for around around $400 they aren't that expensive

I took a gander at some Benelli prices. Other than the Nova, every other one I saw was $1000 +. Now, this is just my take, however I try to never buy the cheapest product any manufacturer. That kinda product is generally designed to get the folks who can't afford their Top Tier lines. To get a $1000+ shotgun down to $400, you'd have to cut at least a few corners for the sake of cost. Not saying they are cheap, but if I was going to buy a Benelli, I'd save up a bit more cash and get a least a middle of the road offering version.
