My dad left me this beautiful never fired gun. Unfortunately, I'm not left handed (neither was he, lol), but I have a hard time finding the value on it. The guy at the local sporting center says as little as 400.00, but I saw a good condition right handed model (almost this gun's twin) on gunsamerica.com for 880.00! That guy said mine was with about 1200.00... I called Remington and they said it was a rare gun. Any ideas Bout what it's worth or where I can get accurate information on it? I'd like to sell it and get an over under; that's what dad would have wanted!

Here are a few links on what I could find. Looks like people are selling them as low as 400-800 tops right now. Some people are looking to buy them. It's sort of a make or break thing. There are definitely lefty shooters out there you just have to wait for that person.
If you want to sell it, I would list it on GunBroker with a $700 reserve, IF it is in the condition you say it is. Lefty models are in demand by leftys. All you have to do is hook up with the right person.
I think that gun you saw go for $880 was a standard weight 20 gauge. Even harder to find.

Nice looking gun. The swivels will detract slightly for some, but I have added them to all my field guns too. As you probably know, your gun is the "second generation" edition, which came out in 1979. The 1978 version on GunBroker is post 79 also. Just cosmetic changes, checkering pattern and rollmarking.

It's a nice shotgun,but since it has had sling swivels installed in the stock,that will really affect it's value.
You can probably get around $500 for it.
The Remington 1100 is a great gun,but there are others that can be had in LH today,that are better guns.Remington made a lot of LH shotguns,they aren't that rare.People that have them just don't sell them often.
