11-87 mag extension

Anybody know if I can put a 10rd mag tube extension on a 21" Remington 11-87 12 guage? I'm just wondering if it'll be too long for the barrel.

if it fits then you can do it. I would recommend using one of those clamps if you decide to do this.

definitely, a clamp would be a must and as long as the tube doesn't stick out too far from the barrel you should be okay maybe an inch or so.

A 10 round extension on a 21" barrel? That would protrude about a foot passed the end of the barrel and would make one hell of a mess the first time you pulled the trigger.

A four round extension lines up with the end of a 22" barrel, which means it would go passed a 21" barrel. Respectively so, that would mean you would have the length of 6 shells extending passed your barrel with that 10 round extension.

Really Really bad idea

I believe he means he wants his shotgun to have 10+1 capacity. If so that means he would have the length of two shells extending past the barrel. Two unfired 2 3/4" shells measure about 4.5".

I would go with a +4 tube extension. I offer a +4 (8+1) tube extension that's even with the muzzle with a 21" barrel.

A +6 (10+1) tube extension would extend past a 21" barrel about 5". It will add a lot of weight up front.

It would work, about as well as a 30 round mag in a glock.
