I have a browning 10 GA that I won at a ducks unlimited dinner about two years ago but don't really shoot it
I love 10 gauge and shooting them but there a beast to shoot and shells are expensive
I "need" a 10 gauge side by side. I will cut it down to 20" bbls and make it "tacticool" with a rail and red dot.
What would people need a 10 gauge for that a 12 gauge can't solve? I never understood that. It's like people just want bigger just for the sake of bigger... OMG! I get it!

Bismuth or Hevishot on geese at 60 yards is why.
I shoot turkeys with it

Before the tungsten non-toxics came along, I went thru a few 10 gauges. An Ithaca Mag 10, two SxSs, and 3 Browning BPSs. Nothing can compete with the 10 for big birds at long range. Swan hunting, it was in a class by itself. It patterned 'T' shot very well. The weight of all of them was a major gripe - and the Mag 10 needed wheels. I will never understand why when we went to shooting less weight of shot, the manufacturers figured we needed 2 to 3 more POUNDS of gun to do it with. I dearly wished Remington had scaled up the 870 or 1100 just enough to handle the larger round. I had my last BPS machined down to a much more manageable weight and was relatively satisfied. When tungsten came along I went back to my 3" 12 gauge. If you haven't gotten Ballistic Products 10 gauge booklet, you need to.
