Hi everybody, long time lurker, first time poster here saying hello from the other side of the pond (Slovakia, EU).

Just bought a VZ 58 semi w/ folding stock and 1200 rounds for some range fun. I'm still waiting for upgraded buttstock, upper & lower, grip and a 75 round drum mag to arrive.

Sorry for crappy iPhone pics

I almost bought the VZ58. Nice revolutionary, striker fired weapon. I do have a CZ 550 though. CZ makes excellent firearms. Still, I opted for an Izhmash Saiga MK instead of the CZ. I really wanted a Russian AK. Still waiting for it though...the holidays has delayed the shipping. It was a Christmas present for myself. Welcome to the forum.

My favorite rifles below.

The rifle at top is a SAI built M1A-A1 with all USGI M14 parts minus receiver and bbl. ( 18 inch std contour 1-11in twist)

The other was built back in 2006 using a Norinco M14S receiver.

Barrell = 18.5in Criterion (LRB Arms) std. contour chrome lined 1-10in twist.

Bolt, gas cylinder, rear sight assembly, stock, handguard, trigger group, micl. small parts/springs are USGI M14.

Smith Enterprise Inc. parts include Vortex DC flashhider and gas lock front sight.

Sadlak op-rod spring guide.

ARMS 18 (gen1) split rail optics mount.

My latest may resemble a Stoner design, but it's a tad different under the hood.

A Ruger SR762.

The big difference is with the gas system. ( Dual stage adjustable piston drive instead of direct gas impingement. )

This rifle came with 3- 20rd P-mags, a soft case, front sight adjustment tool, 2 sections of rail, and a few hg grips.

It also sports a Houge pistol grip, Samson flip up iron sights, 16.1 in med weight chrome lined 1-10in twist fluted bbl, and threaded muzzle...... along with a chrome plated BCG.

So far I like it.
