Winchester Model 100 Loose barrel/receiver
I've never noticed movement in the rear of the receiver before I got the slide assembly stuck by trying to open it with it locked in halfway position. Managed to get it unstuck and cleaned all parts in the receiver assembly.
However when put back together the .308 appears to be highly inaccurate. I've noticed that the rear of the barrel and receiver has up/down movement of 1/16th from recoil block. I've taken the rifle apart several times and can see no mechanism to tighten it. The pivot point is the forward screw (stock to barrel)
For any of you gunsmiths in the forum - Is this normal? If not what is wrong? and more importantly "How to correct this movement?"
