Some dealers will call NICS even though you have a CCW and it's not required. Which we all may have to do with these new laws that will be coming out.

Unless your machining them out of your garage (which is illegal) then yes I guess you could say that.

Here in VA, no dealer calls NICS. Virginia has had it's own system before NICS was created. Ours in run by VA State Police. The info they get is your identity, and long gun or other. As far as type, make, model, SN- no. Once again- NO.
BTW, I collect older 22s and shotguns. About 2 dozen of so in my collection have never HAD a serial number- they were not required on long guns until 1968.

Your dating yourself C3 I know a few dealers who won't even take those pre 68 non serialized relics.

Apparently, it's not. As long as it's for yourself.

Silverado- dealer's loss, my gain. They enter them in a bound book same way I do- under serial number you enter NSN or None Found. Have 3 of the Mossberg 152s and 4 of the Remington 550-1s that never wore a serial number.

Sorry but my guns aren't at the address I put on the form. Where I live is that address but it's not where I'm usually at and certainly not where my guns are.
