my first semi auto rifle was an Yugo sks back in the early 90's when nobody had one. Everyone has Russian, Chinese, Romanian, etc. People would always go "wow that sks is long and what's that thing on the front?" Now that's pretty much all you can get. Also I got it for $150 now they are at least twice that.

I just spent hours last Wed. breaking in the barrel on my first semiauto rifle, A National Match M1A. It is a whole new world. It was what I always wanted and I am very pleased. Thanks to the folks here I finished the stock properly with tung oil, seasoned the barrel, and damn near cleaned it to death.
