I seen this episode of "Repo Games" on Spike TV weeks ago. I'm sure you all know what is "Repo Games" all about.
The car owner came out with an AR15 SBR pointing to Tom Detone, the show host.
What do you think of this? Will his 2nd amendment be taken away from him? I'm not a gun laws expert but i'd say he shouldn't point his weapon to someone. Specially in this case, his life wasn't threatened at all.

Watch it from 1:46

prolly fake encounter made for tv to raise their crappy ratings. if it was real it woulda been number headline news on msnbc for a week.

Other than the fact of the show being staged, im sure it was just in the script and it will probally happen again in a few months on the show to keep it interesting.

okdonk 06-28-2012 12:35 AM

Are they allowed to stage that? Hmm.. TV shows nowdays are getting interesting.

Assault by pointing a weapon.

I hate to be the one to bring this up, but Repo, Auction Wars, Pawn Stars, et al are scripted re-enactment shows. It ain't real. Really.

Now to finish destroying your values, we need to talk about professional wrestling, Santa, and the Easter Bunny.

Repo or no, the same standards of law apply as anywhere else- make a threat to do harm, accompanied by the present apparent ability to carry out that threat, you had better be able to demonstrate why that threat was justified. Oherwise you have just committed Assualt with a Deadly Weapon, and you stand to lose a lot more than your Second Amendment rights. You are looking at a serious felony, loss of your freedom and girlish laughter.

If you find a stranger in the driveway unlocking your car, you may or may not be justified in presenting a weapon. There are 57 states (according to our President) and each has different laws. If you find that you have someone executing a lawful repo order, that is no longer justified.

I can't tell if this is because of the thought that Repo Games was real, or the absolutely terrible English that was used through this entire thread...
