We covered this in a safety meeting when I was working construction. I don't think it ever went into production.

They do make nail guns powered by .22 casing for driving fasteners into concrete and other such surfaces. OSHA requires special training for anyone who uses one as I'm sure you can all imagine they can be quite dangerous.

I actually have one of those laying around somewhere. We call them rimshot guns.
