Springfield M1A1 Question

I purchased a Springfield M1A1 a few years ago for what I considered a very good price. It`s the first year "Loaded " production of the National Match Barrel,National Match 2 stage trigger and National Match flash suppressor The Model # is MA9206 with synthetic composite stock that has the gun glass beaded into the stock.I would rate this firearm @ 98% due to some wear on the underside of the stock (very minimal) and slight wear on the blueing near the gas tube.Aside for that the firearm is virtually in new condition with very few rounds out the barrel.Would this firearm be considered a "collectable"? And what would be a fair market value? Thanks in Advance!
John

Did you ever find out any info on this particular weapon? I've searched the internet and this is the only post I've found.

Dont know what current value is for a good used M1A but I can tell you that here in Cali. they are few and far between in the gun stores and I've seen prices a few months ago around $1800.00 for them. I bought one in 1996, the "Loaded" version with wood stock, and paid about $1100.00 for it then.

I dont think it would be considered a "collectible"

A collectible? No. Desirable? Yes.

Not a collector, but is very desirable. They are great target and if needed, great battle rifles. I would not be without my Match and Super Match rifles. Photos and complete description would be needed to give you a current (approx.) market value. Don't sell it, keep it, you have a great rifle.
