I do not want to offend anyone but I believe both the lower end Springfields from Brazil and the Armscor (aka rock island armory) are the same. You ask which is better?
It depends on what you want. There are other lowers out there that are much better but you pay for them. When I build 1911's I use good forged lowers but thats me.
Look at S&W 1911 and ITS for about 100.00 more you could have a frame to a race gun. Not all guns are equal you pay for what you get, if you shooting cans and do not care about competition then save your money or start small and build. Remember though not all mil-spec guns can be fitted with some aftermarket goodies cost effectively to warrant starting that low if you want a competition race gun. Just my thoughts no offense to anyone ment.
I know it wasn't one of your choices listed, but I'm very happy with my Para Ordnance GI Expert. I have over 500 rounds through it since I bought it with NO issues. It eats everything I feed it, Wolf steel case, Blazer aluminum case, hollow points, whatever. I know I'm spoiled by my local guy that sells at cost + $10, but I only paid $465.27 for this gun brand new. Helluva deal IMHO.
