An antigun leader named Sugarman in the 1960s made up the term Saturday Night Special to tag handguns. This old slang for cheap handguns was applied to most any handgun that had a barrel of less than 4" and no Adj, sights etc. This SNS tag was used to push thru the 1968 Gun Control Act. Sugerman later applied the military term Assault Rifle used by the Nazis to describe a machine gun. Sugarman applied this to any semi auto handgun or rifle. It sure bothers me to see how my fellow gun owners have accepted and use this antgun term.

While I'm not an Obuma fan at all, I'm worried about Romney as well. It wasn't that long ago he made a statement that no citizen should own an AR/AK.
Now nobody remembers that and until there is an ex general living on Pennsylvania ave. we should still be buying our multi use firearms before elections.

Romney is better than Obama. How much so I do not know. Either way we all need to be on our toes before during and after the election no matter who gets elected.

Agreed, I hope he doesn't make me regret voting. The lesser of 2 evils (again). I guess its to late for a dark horse now? Maybe next time.

This election is easy:
A) The openly Marxist Punk who hates the US as founded..
B) The potentially squishy Republican who does not hate the US as founded.
C) Some 3rd party candidate who won't amount to a hill of beans.
How complicated is that? With options A & B there isn't much hairsplitting to be done, its Takers vs. Makers. Everything else is just noise.

The Democrats had control of congress for almost 40 years until the last assault weapon ban. There were a few years when Republicans controlled congress but they never got a veto proof majority. The Democrats got voted out in huge numbers after that last assault weapons ban. There isn't enough support in the Democratic party to get any more gun laws through congress. We have two Democratic congressmen in my NC district that have a conservative agenda. Both are rated A+ by the NRA. Now we just need to get rid of Kay Hagan.
I'm not sure what Obama was rated but if I'm not mistaken Romney got an F.

Well, at least we can see Romney's rating.

Somewhere in the middle of that whole

"transparency in government" thing, B.O.

had that rating sealed...
