I have 2 SKS's.
One I removed from an NVA soldier in the city of Kontum during TET 68 (he no longer needed it) and the other I traded a set of jungle fatigues for about 20 years ago.
Both still shoot well with their original parts.

How do you like the big star, twenty round magazine, and may i ask where you were able to find one?

I bought it from another military member in my unit who had a collection of SKS's and parts.

I made the mistake of having the weapon refinished in a moment of stupidity instead of leaving it as original back when I was young and dumb and didn't think about the value..

Here's a pic of one of the piles of captured weapons we had to choose from. Most of them were battle worn badly but there were a few fairly new issues ( I guess for TET). Wish I could have brought back the RPD machine gun front left
