I recently bought a Standard Ruger semi-auto .22 from a co-worker. This gun is in shot only once condition.According to the serial number its made in 1952.( black eagle).question is ....Is this gun an antique? I mean is it better to sell this gun and purchase a more shootable model? I originally purchased this gun , so I could take my 16 year old daughter to the range with me.Now, I don't know if i should even shoot it. Its in the original box it came in with two mags.any advice would be appreciated.

Once it's shot-it's in used condition. It don't matter if it's once or 100,000 times. You're NOT going to wear it out. Go forth & shoot the hell out of it.
