Managed to get out and do some shooting yesterday. The weather was sunny but just muggy as heck. We shot my GSG-5 .22, my Marlin Glenfield 60 (the first gun I ever came into contact with and that my father gave to me a long time ago) and my .45 for a couple of mags at the end.
The GSG shot great as always and I'm really starting to get the dot sight and the rifle dialed-in. The Marlin shot just excellent. It's got a twenty dollar scope on it; both the rifle and the scope are probably as old as me at least and it still shoots quarter-sized groups.
My fiance shot her first seven rounds EVER through a .45 yesterday as well, a fist-sized group at 10 yards. I was absolutely shocked in a very positive way: she's handed 9mm pistols back to me in disgust so when she said she wanted to shoot the .45 I was surprised. That she'd shoot her first 7 rounds so well was oustanding to say the least. I guess she can stay...
