Looking for opinion on type of optic to get
About to get a msar stg-556 out of layaway. Have eotech on safe queen. Should I use this + pick up a 3x fixed optic or get a 1-4x variable power scope with illuminated retical? BTW, it has a flat rail on top.

I have NcSTAR 3-9x42mm Rubber Armored Mark III Tactical Rifle Scope, on my Bushmaster that has worked very well. I zeroed it a couple years ago and its still dead on. It is all I need for range,field and long distance varmints shooting it has a red laser on it but its useless for me past 50yds. It's no ACOG or Trijicon but I only gave less than $150.
