Ok guys i need help

So I'm going to put a Troy battle rail on a Bushmaster AR10, and I have ran into a snag. On the gasblock the "pins" are actually rivets so a punch will not work right off the bat. So I used a buzzed the heads off of the rivets on the left side of the block, they still won't punch out.

I'm at a loss here.. Anyone else had this problem??

Have you applied heat to the gas block?

Yes, I figured that's what it needed. Didn't work...
This is so frustrating! I've never had this problem before.

Yeah that's a tough one. Did you try heating the rivets? Lol

I'm about to do the same thing for a friend here in an hour, I let you know how it goes.

Any reason you can't drill them out?

Tried, my titanium coated bits won't bite into the rivets. Lol
