to the OP, you're lucky you are up in burbank. You are a 10 minute drive to Angeles Shooting Range! ASR is one of the best outdoor ranges in the LA area! Have fun up there!

Can you get slide fire stocks or hell fire triggers

I would recommend the Marlin Model 60. It's good to go right out of the box. One should learn to shoot with open sights. Training with a rifle with open sights transfers directly to shooting a handgun. A shooter should never become dependent on optics or any sort of visual aid.

I highly recommend getting involved with Project Appleseed. Appleseed teaches techniques that will help young shooters for the rest of their life. The goal of Project Appleseed is to teach shooters to hit a target at 300 yards with open sights.

ASR is a great outdoor shooting rang. I go there because its close to me and friendly environment.
