I think I got you beat on the SKS price though. I bought it from a co-worker about two years ago for $75 dollars. It was military used condition with a few dings. I happened to be working on the same jobsite when he realized his truck payment was overdue. Friends in a money pinch= good deals. I have a pic of it in my gallery. It's got a dragunov stock on it now.
Good deal! Is it the Yugo M59/66 or Norinco? The reason I ask is before the 94 ban the Norinco's were selling for $79 new in box with sling & oiler...I never bought one. After the ban the prices skyrocketted. Also the Yugo's have milled receivers not stamped.

My SKS is a Yugo with the grenade launcher on it. I even recently found a grenade tail section at a gun show and launched it with a tennis ball on the top where the grenade would go.

Congratulations on the new AR. I know how ya feel as I'll be picking up my new S&W M&P15 today or tomorrow. I'm like a little kid with all the anticipation building.

Cool! How far did it go? Do you know how to use that grenade sight?

I just purchased a Smith & Wesson MP15T not too long ago. I get my ammo at Wal-Mart. Best deal I found so far is the Federal .223 55grain FMJ value pack; 100 rounds just under $40.00

If you don't care if the casings are brass. You can go with the steel cased Wolf ammo, I've seen them in catalogs for $0.22 a round.
