Mac-10 & Tommy Guns

Are Mac-10 and Tommy Guns legal in a Semi-Automatic version?

Duck 01-16-2008 04:14 PM

Yes, they are.

KingTiger 01-16-2008 07:26 PM

They're legal in FA also.

Hold on. They are legal in Semi so long as they meet NFA requirements. The "tommy gun" straight civilian version must have greater than a 16" barrel. Anything less (the real 1928's and M1s have less than 16") would have to be registered as a SBR even if they were production semi auto guns.

The correct answer is;
It depends where you live.
You can't buy Mac 10's in Massachusetts anymore and Tommy Guns are outlawed in Connecticut. (BTW, Tommy Guns are now made in Masachusetts)

Id like to purchase a pre-ban Tommy. Where is a good place to find them and pricing?
