I'v e owned a NM M1a. I've never owned a FAL, but I've handled and fired a dozen of them or more.

I would agree that a match grade M1A is a better target rifle. But a battle rifle??? not so much!

As mutch as every one is going back and forth about the FAL and M1A and as mutch as I am a FAL lover. We still need to pay our respects to the Hk g3 and ptr91.

Yep. I actually like the old Galil even better.
