Default M1a m.o.a.
I have run a few hundred thru my M1A, factory and reloads.
I know what to expect from my bolt rifles, but have no experience with the gas guy. I have been shooting at 100 yds as that is what is available. My M1A is National Match 1 in 11 twist. What kind of M.O.A. should I be striving for with my reloads. I have been reloading for 35+ years and have seen the formulas for various .308 loads on the forum, but not too many results, especially for semi auto. Not looking for reloading info, holes on paper info, out to 600 yds if possible.

I have a m1a loaded (and socom II) that shoots 1/2-3/4 moa with target loads

I like that! Now I know what to expect. I am at 1.25 moa with same bullet and two different powders, seven shots ea.
Some fine tuning on loads and technique.

I had a NM M1A a few years ago. 3/4 to 1 inch was easily possible with it.

My NM is shooting sub moa with 168 federals, haven't found a rifle yet that won't eat them.

I used 150 and 168 Sierra Match kings. Truly superb bullets.

Went to new club range today. 2.5 hr drive. 200 yd range. Lucky me meets 78 yr old army sniper instructor who is full of info. besides being a nice guy.
I had made 5 ea of 4 diff. loads. 168 Hornady A-Max, 44gr Varget, CCI-BR prim, Win. target brass got me 1 flyer and 4 in .75 MOA.
I am saying nothing about the bad targets. It's only fair!!!
