m16 early-model style box magazines

I have a slew of various ar mags, but what I am craving for some reason is a 20 rd. straight-edged box style magazine. Have found 20 rounders with the common curved ("banana" if you will) design, but no luck with those boxy ones you see in the magwell of early m16s. Do they still make em? Anyone know where I could find one?

The straight 20 rounders do not work as well as the 30's. If you want them for nostalgia purposes, they are out there.

Go to 44MAG.com - Wholesale Rifle and Pistol Magazines. They have all sorts of mags. To say that the straight 20 rounds don't work as well as a curved 30 rounder is just wrong. Mine have never given me any problems and that includes a Colt marked one from the 60"s.

Yes! That is what I'm talking about. :-)

You have an antique box mag? This is probably a longshot but I wonder if I could talk ya into selling it?

P.s. the website you forwarded was super helpful.

3000,

Unless I have misunderstood your question. Rock River Arms Sells the straight 20 round magazines like the 60s mags for around $15.00 Part #AR0116LE20RD. They also have a straight 10 Round that is great for a Varmint rifle and doesn't get in the way! Check out the website and see if that is what you are looking for. I have several and the work great and are of good quality.
