M1 A Scout Scope
1 Attachment(s)
I put a Ultimak rail and Leopold fx-2 scope on it. While I love the eye relief, the 2.5 magnification isn't that swell. I am not trying to brake any distance records of any sort (sarcasm), but would appreciate the guidance of this community and as always, pictures are welcome.

If you want magnification you'll have to go with a typical rifle scope and will have to buy a mount for that. For the scout mount you have now I think its your best bet besides going with a red dot.

There are some 2-6x pistol scopes by different companies, any reason not to use these?

I have been looking at a scout set up on a mini and a pistol scope does not seem to cut it. I have not seen any scout scopes in the stores but there are plenty on line. I would like to handle one mounted to see how they work. Here is a link to Leupold scout scopes. There are others.

My 2.5-6 Burris works great and have shot 300+ with it. Even took a few deer. Love the setup. |

Wondering about pros and cons of scout scope setup vs standard scopes? I'm sure it all comes down to personal preference. I'm wondering about the reason you went with a scout setup. Was considering a scout setup on my Standard (Ultimak + scope tbd). For my purposes, long range target and steel shooting. No hunting. Possibly some competitive shooting down the line. |
