These should be much more reliable than a lot of the other x39 ARs out there. Most of the issues with the others center around magazines. I saw a video of these from SHOT and they use standard AK mags.

I find them very interesting. If the street price ends up being under 1k, I may pick one up. As long as they're reliable.

I'm currently on a caliber diet, and I've found 5.56/.223 to be uninspiring.

So the attraction for me would merely be the AR platform in a caliber I prefer.

However, interchangeable mags is nice...

The fact that the mags would be cheap is what draws my attention. Some of these new guns with super expensive proprietary magazines seems kinda silly to me. (Scar 17 comes to mind). Who wants to pay $50 for a magazine, when you can actually find somewhere that has them in stock.

Plus, using AK mags should enhance the reliability over the other x39 ARs. The only downside is the tilt in design. I prefer straight-in type mags.

Oh, I disagree.

The mini-30 has a comically short LOP, coupled with the

arguably the worst iron sights I've ever seen, bar none.

The wood stock is clunky. The field -strip isn't even close to

the ease of an AK.

Wood stock on a mini-30?
What century was that?
