Yah ive been e-mailing them at just right for a couple days trying to see how long it would take for me to get one. So we will see what happends.

I placed an order for a Sub 2000 a year ago through a local gun store. After waiting for 3 months I cancelled my order. I also was interested in it because it would use my existing Glock magazines. At the time I ended up purchasing another hand gun and kept looking for a carbine type rifle. I ended up getting a converted Saiga AK. The ammo is cheap enough to take it out shooting and it's a proven design.

I was chatting with a guy who has visited Kel Tec and said their manufacturing capacity seems to be dedicated to pistols. With the big CCW boom going on, pistol sales are through the roof, and they want to maximize their take on that action. As a result they turn our very few rifles. There was a time that you could find their SU-16 in just about every gun store, and there were pages and pages of them listed on gun broker. If you do a search for SU-16 on gunbroker now, you find 3 ads. And I don't remember the last time I've seen a single one of their rifles in a gun store anywhere.
