The first thing I did to my Saiga 12 was changed the gas plug to one that can regulate the gases from various types of 12 gauge ammo. With the standard 3 position gas plus not all 12 gauge loads will cycle the bolt. I also changed the hand guard and stock. I have been thinking about converting the trigger, just havent made the time to do it. But other than that I love the fact that I purchased my Saiga 12 when they were still priced at $399, now I am seeing them priced at $700-800 for a unconverted model.

I want to build one like this, I found the AK74 style brake for the 12 gauge online, that would be sweet.

I also have 2, 20 round drums. Was actually looking for a 30 round drum but they are very rare. The few that I did see we're skeletonized aluminum and weighed almost 2lbs .
