1st mag .308 I got sighted in perfectly, next mag 7.62x51 jammed 3 times. I don't know if 7.62 doesn't have enough pressure to push the bolt back far enough to extract but it was having feeding issues. I'm going to call Dpms and find out if I need to send it in. I did notice the handle did take a good amount of force to charge.
I had the same problem with my LR-260H.
Take the buffer and spring out of it,and look at the spring. If it is painted RED on the end,it's the wrong buffer spring-it's way too heavy for the rifle.
DPMS was a pain in the ass with me on the phone when I called them about it on mine. They even accused me of swapping out the spring,as they said they didn't have any with red painted ends.
I cut 3 coils off of it to make it cycle,and my local DPMS dealer gave me a new replacement spring for it with Yellow painted ends.
After swapping out the springs,the rifle functions flawlessly.
I don't know where they came up with those heavy springs,but I have the same spring for my 458 SOCOM when you shoot 500 grain or above bullets through it. That spring is a stiff SOB!
