I am building one very similar, from the ground up. While it won't have a Les Baer name on the receiver, it also won't be $2,700 when I am finished.

If you only have to pick one...the Barrett .50 cal semi auto.

Most of the other ones I could afford if I wanted to sell something else. That I cannot justify for as little as I would use it.

Other than that I would have something custom built for me. If it was for free.

An M14 built by SEI with thier full cryo treatment, and based off of thier 18in cryo treated bbl, using an LRB (M25) reciever.

If it were at a giveaway price with 5,000 rounds of free ammo, an M-14.
Or an FN FAL.

Civilian-styled rifles do not interest me (but they shoot very cheap .22).

I've wanted a full auto thompson 1928. wwII era or a full auto BAR, wwII era. I've started collecting wwII firearms, but it's slow going due to the price. I can afford the $200 full auto tax stamp and the $200 SBR tax stamp on the tommy, but not the actual $15k asking price...
